On May 7, 2017, Autodesk discontinued the sale of new subscriptions of Autodesk AutoCAD P&ID.
As of May 7, 2018, Autodesk will officially discontinue AutoCAD P&ID as an individual product. As of that date, there will not be any further releases development for AutoCAD P&ID and product updates will no longer be delivered.
We encourage our AutoCAD P&ID customers to subscribe to AutoCAD Plant 3D or the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction Collection (AEC Collection) – which includes AutoCAD Plant 3D – today in order to continue to have access to the tools needed to support plant design projects. P&ID functionality has always been included in AutoCAD Plant 3D, and we will continue to develop and deliver P&ID functionality as part of that product offering.
About AutoCAD Plant 3D
P&ID features and capabilities have always been available within AutoCAD Plant 3D, the Building Information Modeling (BIM) solution for plant design. AutoCAD Plant 3D provides you with access to P&ID functionality along with more advanced capabilities for simpler piping design, better orthographic drawing and piping isometric production, and easier collaboration.
To continue support for existing workflows based on AutoCAD P&ID, customers with an active subscription or maintenance plan to AutoCAD Plant 3D are eligible to download and use AutoCAD P&ID 2015, AutoCAD P&ID 2016, and AutoCAD P&ID 2017.
About the AEC Collection
The AEC Collection includes AutoCAD Plant 3D through which subscribers will get access to the P&ID features they need along with more advanced plant design capabilities. In addition to AutoCAD Plant 3D, subscribers have access to other tools that extend the plant design process. From planning and design through construction, the AEC Collection offers access to the Autodesk software you want and need, while providing greater value, more flexibility, and a simplified customer experience.
