Project | Create toolpaths to machine a custom rim

Create and validate semi-finishing and finishing toolpaths for a custom rim in Fusion, then generate an NC program, setup sheet, and G-code.

‌

Module overview

In this project, you'll create semi-finishing and finishing toolpaths to machine a custom rim using a provided Fusion design. You'll apply 2D and 3D machining strategies to finish planar surfaces, holes, bores, and complex geometries.

Next, you'll validate stock removal and resolve collisions using simulation before creating an NC program, generating a setup sheet, and post processing the toolpaths to produce machine-readable G-code.

This project is part of the Fusion CORE: CAM (Imperial) course.
