The construction industry today faces mounting pressures, from declining productivity to labor shortages and the demand to deliver faster without sacrificing quality. University of Florida’s Industrialized Construction Engineering program has a clear mission to help address these immense challenges through education.

“The purpose of the Industrialized Construction Engineering program is to produce graduates with a new set of skills that will enable them to make a difference in the construction industry,” says Dr. Chimay Anumba, Dean, College of Design, Construction, and Planning, University of Florida.

“Leading with purpose means developing a program where the outcomes are there to help our students and our society,” adds Warren Dixon, Interim Dean, Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering, University of Florida. “Construction is changing rapidly. That requires academic programs to evolve at the same pace.

In partnership with Autodesk, the University of Florida is building an educational experience that prepares graduates to work across the full project lifecycle, ensuring they are ready on day one of their careers.

“I believe that Autodesk has uniquely positioned us to lead the charge in this digital transformation...I see UF empowering students to become our best selves and create a better future.”
