From the beginning of his studies and career, Edouard François has been one of those visionary and utopian architects capable of elevating architecture and the constraints of programs. In the heart of Asnières-sur-Seine, close to Paris, he envisions an eco-district community. For the Sky & Garden Tower project, every balcony tells a story and each material inspires right up to the flagship apartment with its 360-degree views.
But behind this vision, there is another revolution with BIM. Thanks to Autodesk Revit and cloud collaboration via Forma Design Collaboration, the project took shape remotely in the midst of the lockdown, with every detail controlled in real-time even in virtual reality. BIM became a common language, reducing errors and unifying teams around a living model.
Now, artificial intelligence is promising a new, natural dialogue between humans and machines.
“What's extraordinary about AI is it's the first human revolution that doesn't need a user manual,” François says. “You say, ‘Here, remove the dimensions, change the section, cut here,’ and Autodesk Assistant will do it for you.”
