Assess CCTV surveys in InfoAsset Manager

Step-by-step guide

Once CCTV survey data has been created or imported, the applicable InfoAsset Manager tools and options can be used to work with this data. For example, CCTV defect scoring can be used to judge pipe conditions.

Begin with a network containing CCTV survey data open on the GeoPlan.

To control the display of CCTV defects:

  1. Right-click the GeoPlan and select Properties & Themes.

  2. In the Properties and Themes dialog, select the CCTV Defects tab.

The Custom CCTV Code Display grid enables full control over which types of defects are displayed.

  1. To show a specific defect type, select the checkbox in the Show column.
  2. Change the default color for a defect type to make it stand out on the display.

  3. In the CCTV Defect Display group, select a general display option of Display Current or Display All.
  4. Enable the Show defect labels option to auto-label all displayed defects with the defect code.

The CCTV Grade Display group provides a quick way to control the Show settings in the grid.

  1. For this example, select a Defect Grade of 1.
  2. Click Set.

This selects the Show column for all defects with a grade thta is equal to or greater than 1.

  1. To set the defect symbol size, use the Size drop-down.
  2. Click Apply to see the effects of any changes.

  3. Click OK.

On the survey, each defect is displayed as a cross at the point where the defect is recorded, in the color selected for that defect grade.

To automatically calculate condition grades for CCTV surveys:

  1. From the Network menu, select Calculate CCTV scores/grades.

  2. In the Choose source of CCTV score dialog, select the Data Source Type, such as Network.

  3. Click OK.
  4. In the Calculate CCTV scores/grades dialog, set the Default scoring method, such as SRM5.
  5. Select Calculate for all CCTV surveys.
  6. Click OK.

To view the structural and service condition grades for a particular object:

  1. In the GeoPlan, double-click the object.
  2. If the Multiple Selection dialog displays, be sure to select the most recent survey, and click OK.

  3. In the CCTV Survey property sheet, switch to the Scores tab.

  4. Close the property sheet.

To view the condition scores for all objects in the network:

  1. From the Windows toolbar, expand the Grid windows drop-down and select New surveys window.
