The Design Collaboration and Model Coordination tools in Forma for Construction offer a structured workflow that enables multidisciplinary teams to share design updates, track project changes, and coordinate models in a connected cloud environment. This course guides you through the complete collaboration process, starting from accessing project data and understanding how information is structured, through to managing design packages, reviewing changes over time, and resolving coordination issues across disciplines.

You will learn how to work with design packages, use timelines to track design progression, and bring multiple models together for coordination and clash detection. You will also learn how to manage coordination issues to support clear communication and efficient resolution of design conflicts.

By the end of this course, you will be able to navigate a construction collaboration environment, manage design changes across disciplines, and support effective model coordination workflows that improve project alignment and reduce coordination risk.

After completing this course, you will be able to:

Access and navigate a collaboration project environment.
Retrieve and manage project models and design information.
Create and share design packages across project teams.

The step-by-step video instruction totals approximately 90 minutes. The course also includes quizzes, practice exercises, and a capstone project that give you opportunities to apply what you've learned. These activities take additional time to complete and are not included in the 90-minute estimate.

To receive a course completion certificate, you’ll need to click through all course content, including the videos, quizzes, exercises, and project. While the hands-on activities are optional for learning, they must be accessed in order to track course progress. You’ll also need to complete the final test with a passing score of 75 percent to earn the certificate.
