Professional CAD/CAM tools built on Inventor and AutoCAD
Learn the end-to-end Autodesk Informed Design workflow for connecting product design and building design. Starting with a pre-built Inventor assembly, you will configure top-level parameters, prepare simplified BIM-ready representations, define BIM properties, export a static Revit family, and create a product definition that can be published for use in Revit.
You will also learn how to design a configuration form, control valid product options, publish outputs such as Revit families, STEP files, drawings, and bills of materials, and test the configured product in Revit. By the end of the course, you will understand how manufacturers can publish configurable, buildable product data and how designers can place and configure those products directly in BIM projects.
The course uses short video lessons, hands-on exercises, and a sample dataset so you can practice the workflow while learning key concepts.
