Course overview

Move from 2D to BIM quickly with less design time lost on learning new software. Learn the basics of what you need to know to navigate the software efficiently.

In this course learn: 

  • How to get started in Revit and Revit LT: locating tools in the user interface and navigating the model.
  • Start laying out the building plan, starting with walls and adding doors, windows, columns.
  • Add and customize walls, floors, and roofs in Revit.  
  • Add room elements and tags, speed up the placement of dimensions, modify dimensions, add construction details, create a schedule view of reporting and editing the model.  
  • Link a CAD file, create a sheet, and export a CAD file.
  • Add shading and shadows and create a cloud rendering.
