Henry + Associates Architects specializes in the modernization of local schools. Their expertise in this architectural niche brings in enough work to overflow the capacity of their modeling and drafting staff. They needed to find a partner with expertise and staffing in AutoCAD Architecture to compliment their design expertise-- ultimately allowing them to win and complete more school modernization design work.

BIM Implementation and Custom Tool
Parametrix Desired to Implement BIM deliverables for their Water, Wastewater, and Process projects. They wanted to deliver data rich models to clients and communicate design intent clearly at all stages with accessible 3D models. Parametrix recognized that at the core, this would mean the implementation of Autodesk Revit, along with training and support.
Design Tool Standardization and Efficiency Improvements
BKF has more than 400 staff using Autodesk software with Civil 3D at the core. Across the company there were large variances in staff skills including: Civil 3D knowledge and best practices; awareness of and ability to use peripheral software (Infraworks, Vehicle Tracking, Raster Design, etc.); use of available customizations including custom programming and templates. Opportunity was seen to improve information sharing, reduce duplicated effort, and produce consistent results more efficiently.
