Digitize components in the water distribution network

When working in InfoSurge Pro, components, or facilities, and their attributes must be digitalized to create a water distribution network. If desired, pre-mapped model layers can be imported. However, the values that represent critical attributes of model components can be entered manually.

To begin, use the Import Manager to import a shapefile—in this case, it represents a reservoir:

1. From the Model Explorer, open the Command Center tab.
2. In the link tree, expand Exchange.
3. Double-click Import Manager.

4. In the Import Manager – Source & Options dialog box, in the Import Element Type group box, select Reservoir.
