Getting started with Revit or Revit LT

Module overview

In this module, you learn the fundamentals of the Revit software, including how parametric modeling works, how to open an existing project and start a new one, and how to get around in the user interface.

This module takes approximately 25 minutes to complete. By the end of the module, you should be able to:

• Describe how parametric modeling works
• Define specific terms related to the software
• Open an existing project
• Navigate the project browser
• Switch between different views of the model
• Select elements in the model
• Display the contextual tab for an element or command
• Start a new project
