Course overview

The MEP subcontractors' evolution and innovation in prefabrication processes and facilities. Explore the role of an integrated multi-trade approach and applied manufacturing techniques in product orientation. You learn about technology connections with advanced manufacturing principles and use of emerging trends and technologies promoted by Industry 4.0.

After completing this course, you will be able to:

  • Explain the innovations by MEP subcontractors and how they are influencing the Industrialized Construction paradigm
  • Identify the role of the "super-subs" in the Industrialized Construction process
  • Examine the role of super-subs, serial-owners, and vertical integrators in Industrialized Construction
  • Formulate new business models for implementing Industrialized Construction at the project and organization level
