Success Story

Integration of Autodesk Inventor and Vault Professional data management system with ERP

Integration of Autodesk Inventor and Vault Professional data management system with ERP

Customer challenge

Kaban Makina Sanayi had quite a few challenges including deficiencies of competing software in projects. Inability to run assemblies with a high number of parts. Partial management of the design and manufacturing processes of machinery and production lines with specially prepared data management software. Analysis deficiencies in new designs.

Project goals

Innovation of aluminum and PVC processing machines and rapid introduction of new products to the market. It is aimed that all departments can work on the same data and that the supply process can be integrated with ERP. Ensuring efficiency, performance and weight optimizations of the improved and newly designed machines.

Solution

Based on customer needs, the PDMC industrial solution package, which includes Autodesk Inventor, Inventor Nastran, AutoCAD and 3dsMax products, was presented to the customer. In order to manage and view data, Autodesk Vault Professional and Vault Office products have been customized so that the customer's ERP system can read them, and Data Standards have been created. All consultancy and support in the process was provided by us.

Business outcome

Thanks to Inventor's ability to easily cope with assemblies with a high number of parts, the performance and productivity increase that the customer wanted was achieved. Healthy and up-to-date data management was achieved with Vault Professional PDM. As a result of the integration with the ERP system, purchasing and stock controls were carried out in the finished and semi-finished products of the designs sent to production. The stock number codes and workflow in use were presented to the customer with the Vault Professional interface, which can be edited exactly. The newly designed 5-axis machining center has been subjected to analysis and efficiency tests with Inventor Nastran in all its parts, especially in its body. In the next stage, improvements with generative design were planned.

Conclusion

The customer avoided potential problems by providing all data management from a single source. Thanks to Inventor-based workflows, the management of large assemblies has become easier and the cost has been reduced compared to other software. The technical support that the customer needs for all their products is provided regularly. Our customer is pleased to receive software support from Artı ve Artı Teknoloji.

Sunroof System Dynamics Made More Efficient with Autodesk

Kayra Metal were using Product Design Suite 2015 product. Because they did most of their projects on AutoCAD, their parametric designs and assemblies were not organized. Our customer wanted to design regular part designs, create assembly structures and to be able to operate the mobile systems in these assemblies. Since they usually produce aluminum profiles with special sections, they needed to create their own profile libraries and perform load analysis on the design.

Defense Industry Design and Simulation Project

M-D2 used Inventor 2012. They had problems with the high-assembled parts and the up-to-date data. They were using older workstation computers created for the 2012 version. They needed simulation and dynamic testing of the damping element that they developed for the rocket project with the defense industry.

Engineering analysis with Autodesk CFD for fire hydrant alarm

In the event of a fire, StepsenS had to perform safe flow analysis for sensors that would operate under high temperature and in a high-pressure water line.
