The Horn company has been operating on the Polish market since 2011 and has been designing devices, manufacturing parts, and designing and creating injection molds for plastics, as well as pressure molds for metal. The Horn workshop has 5 numerical devices, 2 CNC 5-axis machines, one 3-axis machine, a 4-axis lathe, and a wire cutter. Horn, along with support from MAT, implemented post-processors for all its devices and purchased and implemented Autodesk Fusion 360 software.
The aim of the project was to optimize all production processes, in particular, to shorten the time of designers’ work by transferring design work to Autodesk Fusion 360, increasing productivity, and saving materials.
With the implementation of the new software, it was necessary to conduct a series of training sessions for both designers and constructors – here also Horn could count on the support of MAT Usługi Informatyczne. The implementation of Autodesk Fusion 360 software provided the necessary solutions at all levels of work, from 3D modeling, analysis, rendering, and flat documentation, to generating g-codes.
Horn sp. z o.o. started working in the Autodesk Fusion 360 environment by installing the trial version and then consistently testing the software's capabilities at all stages of the design process.
The tests proved very promising and showed that the selected CAD/CAM/CAE solution is able to meet most of the company's needs in this area.
Then, MAT Usługi Informatyczne took care of the implementation and training of staff in the field of Autodesk Fusion 360 software. As part of the subsequent work, it was possible to efficiently adapt the postprocessors to all numerical machines belonging to the company.
