BIMTEK is a design company specializing in servicing large installation projects for residential buildings, industrial facilities and public utilities. The company participates in servicing contractors from all over Norway providing design support in 3D / BIM technology. Thanks to the experience gained on the European market, the company is recognized on the local market as an experienced and competent team of industry designers providing BIM engineering services. The aim of the project was to increase the efficiency and cooperation of the entire project team and to improve the quality of the company's projects so as to be able to offer clients fully coordinated 3D / BIM models of all installations present in the designed buildings. For the implementation of this program, the philosophy of "zero collision" was introduced as a goal. Training of design staff in the field of advanced modeling of building installations using Autodesk Revit software was also important.
Implementation of the Autodesk Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC) Collection solution as a complete software package enabled advanced design work of mechanical and sanitary technical installations from concept - to as-built drawings in BIM technology. The new software package allowed for increased operational efficiency - automation of tasks, reduction of design time and improvement of work results thanks to efficient data exchange. In addition, project predictability has been increased, reducing errors and the risk of rework. It was possible to improve project implementation by using Autodesk Docs software in combination with other tools of the suite such as Autodesk Revit, Autodesk AutoCAD or Autodesk Navisworks. In addition, the BIM Collaborate Pro solution was implemented further enhancing the impact obtained thanks to the Autodesk AEC Collection through the possibility of concurrent work and the creation of ongoing coordination models and collision detection.
Thanks to the implemented Autodesk software that enables the creation, edition and management of BIM models, BIMTEK is now able to provide the most demanding studies, analysis and documentation based on the information contained in the models: • detailed bills of quantities • BIM model completeness analysis • collision reports • hydraulic analysis and calculations based on 3D models
