For the development of BIM process and the required CDE platform, the Essar team started utilizing the Autodesk AEC Collection and Autodesk Docs for model and information-based activities. The team started getting information and made BEP for developing BIM models from a single source and platform. They can now extract and review drawings, coordinated models, quantities and share the same to other stakeholders involved in the project on Docs.
With the implementation of an ISO folder structure and review-approval workflow, data required was consolidated for all parties and consultants.
A centralized process was enabled for executing the design to handover stage of the project.
After the implementation of the AEC Collection and Autodesk Docs solution with the required training to optimize usage of the Autodesk desktop and cloud products, Essar is now capable to implement BIM for upcoming projects and avoid data legacy with the usage of a standardized modelling process with consideration of guidelines leveraging Docs and included features on live projects for CDE.
By adopting and implementing BIM in our projects with the help of the Autodesk Cloud Platform Docs and the AEC Collection, we have increased in-house efficiency, productivity and optimized cost and time for the contractors on site.

SmartCADD Engineering Services is a well-established, well respected engineering firm based out of Auckland and Ahmedabad dealing mainly in Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire and Electrical.
