With extensive experience in the fuel distribution network, TFF also works in the public and private sectors, using advanced technologies to support design. TFF needed advanced technologies to support project design and help with the multidisciplinary vision for their projects. Project goals

The challenge was to assist and coach TFF in the BIM design phase for a new point of sale chain of American coffee shops in the interior of a gas station. The main objective of the project was to help the client with BIM design and coaching in the use of Autodesk Revit for Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) disciplines. The structural design was carried out by an external studio who produced a model in IFC format and transmitted the model for design coordination.

Solution

Autodesk Revit BIM software was naturally identified as the right software to work on the client's project at every stage, from concept to visualization. The BIM tools chosen enabled the acquisition and communication of precise concepts, information and intent. Because Revit is a multidisciplinary BIM platform, model data could be shared with engineers and subcontractors within the software itself, thus optimizing project coordination efforts.

In the case of TFF Engineering, the model in IFC format was forwarded for design coordination to an outside firm dedicated to structural design. TFF Engineering Srl decided to switch to BIM to speed up turnaround times and increase project efficiency.
