Telecom Egypt has two main challenges. First, they are using the AutoCAD tools for drafting, there is no advanced 3D modeling tools or capabilities. Second, Telecom Egypt has previously built GSM towers years ago and they have no data about those towers.
The priority project goal was to deliver 3D models of the GSM towers integrated with the GIS information.
Autodesk Revit played an important role in the towers' modeling. Also, AutoCAD Map 3D helped to integrate the GIS information with Autodesk AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit. Telecom Egypt used the laser scanning technology to model all the GSM towers that were built years ago with no data. Autodesk Recap Pro played a crucial role to register all the scanned data, and then Autodesk Revit is used to model the GSM towers on top of the point cloud extracted from the laser scanning. Finally, the Autodesk Revit model was exported to Autodesk 3ds Max to create a Virtual Reality model using Unity Reflect and Revit. Telecom Egypt is planning to generalize the usage of BIM and Autodesk software in the rest of Telecom location all over the country.
Two important business outcomes resulted from the project:
1) Telecom Egypt now has Autodesk Revit models of their new project that includes GSM towers that could be used in Facility Management later.
2) VR models now gives the decision makers capabilities to do design changes prior to the construction phase which reduces error.
Autodesk solutions helped Telecom Egypt significantly upgrade their current workflows and to move forward their digital transformation journey.

ALKAN CIT had a big challenge in delivering this mega project in 5 years. Also, the other big challenge is that AlKAN CIT needed this project in 3D format including all the information. Additionally, the team was challenged by miss-communication between the home office and remote sites which led to data diversity. Finally clashes among disciplines caused delays and issues in construction schedules.

Rowad Modern Engineering (RME) is a general contractor, specialized in large scale projects, working on residential, commercial & admin buildings. This project consists of 3 residential towers connecting to each other by podium of 5 floors, 2 of them are basement which includes all MEP works for the whole podium and customer challenges are as follows:- Advanced MEP systems in design which leads to complexity in coordination- MEP trades are Mechanical-HVAC, Water supply, Firefighting, Drainage, Electrical-Cable Routing (MV&LV), Lighting, Small power, Earthing, Low Current-Fire Alarm, Public address, CCTV& Data structure cabling and Access control.- Existing Civil & Architectural work on site- Occurrence of multiple sub0contractors which affect communication- Use of IoT devices in operation to assist in facility management
