Site Construction Consulting with Autodesk Build –Badya Palm hills

Palm Hills Developments became an ever-growing leader in integrated residential, commercial and resorts projects since 1997. Today, they possess one of the largest and most diversified land banks spreading 29 million square meters, and an impressive roster of 34 projects in West Cairo, East Cairo, Alexandria and North Coast. Recently they are working on one of their largest projects in Egypt which is Badya city and their team faced the following challenges: 

• Around 12 parties of project Contractors, Consultants and Project management Company are required to collaborate on the same project delivery with clear requirement to high level of coordination and visibility of information with some level of confidentiality at the same time. 
• Releasing shop drawings, raising RFI and resolving the issues at the same time was a major task as the construction and installation started on the site , submitted by 9 Contractors to Julius Berger international (JBI) to seek approval and manage Construction phases on site. 
• Frequent Construction Reports regarding safety and quality with significant impact on the execution process on site.

After evaluating the demands and needs of Palm hills Development for such project, the Autodesk Construction Cloud product family was introduced. Various presentations were delivered and sample field studies have been done. As the result of several meetings, we analyzed that they needed a single platform to manage all processes and stakeholders during the site construction phase. During workflows in field operations, they decided to use Autodesk Docs and build. Their goal was to establish connected data exchange between approved Documents and processes in construction.

TEA Computers presented and explained the below topics: 

• Access of field teams to current data from common data environment.
• Definition of roles of project partners through the workflows.
• Preparation of quality and non-conformance report forms (NCR, QA forms).
• Use of mobile application in the field.

Palm hills Developments as the owner of the project and the other parties in Badya project leaded by the owner representative (JBI-Julius Berger international) all of them have experienced the use of Autodesk Cloud products in the field and sharing information with the Project teams. They learned how to easily create quality, safety, or even to seek shop drawings approval through documents Reviews workflows.

In conclusion, with a mobile application fast and accurate, solutions can be provided and the Autodesk Construction Cloud is an efficient platform for field works.
