SAOTA on Working Globally: How Revit Improves Decision-Making in Global Contexts

SAOTA on Working Globally: How Revit Improves Decision-Making in Global Contexts

Customer challenge

SAOTA was facing limitations within their design process: they found that when using AutoCAD 2D, the plans, sections, and elevations when built into 3ds Max models, would only develop certain spaces when rendered.

Project goals

SAOTA wished to tell the full story of their designs and find a way to use our Revit models to transcend all the challenges associated with working on international projects.

Solution

Autodesk Solution Provider Micrographics (MGFX), once understanding SAOTA's needs, recommended Autodesk Revit. Micrographics then offered training and implimentation of the software for SAOTA.

Business outcome

Biggest Revit Achievement:

Finding a way to use our Revit models to transcend all the challenges associated with working on international projects (construction and language barriers).

Conclusion

MGFX has worked closely with the SAOTA team. The closer we’re able to work together, the better the service we afford them. Micrographics has become an integral part of the SAOTA operations and SAOTA are grateful for the continuous assistance they are offered by the Micrographics team, and for the rapid response to their many queries.

How Astratek Group Improved Its Digital Workflow

The Astratek Group is multi-disciplinary in nature, and are often faced with challenges that require collaboration between the fabrication and design arm of the company group. But often workflow is interrupted where particular software within the Autodesk family does not transfer accurately or at all. An example of which would be the fragmented relationship between Revit, Inventor and Advance Steel.
