ICD Brookfield Place is a 53-story commercial office tower elegantly positioned alongside an expansive mixed-use podium structure, located in the heart of Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). Brewer Smith Brewer Group (BSBG) is providing lead consultancy and executive architecture services in delivering this highly complex development.
The tower takes the form of a sharp prismatic structure, orientated off-grid to capture environmental benefits. The minimalist elegance of the glass façade and subtle faceted skin changes appearance throughout the day as the sun moves across the sky.
Featuring a highly complex steel frame structure and one of the world’s largest basements with seven levels, ICD Brookfield Place required a sophisticated level of technical coordination to ensure alignment between consultants, contractors and the authorities.
Pre-existing conditions on site meant a number of large piles and foundations remained from a previous development, some of which were utilised for the project. This in itself is an intricate process that demands specialist task management and a precise attention to design detail.

BSBG developed the concept from an existing vision document provided by the client; performing multi-disciplinary services on the project, comprising architectural and interior design, lead consultancy, structural engineering, contract administration and construction supervision.
