Customer challenge

Markexpo is an innovative property company that wants to offer more opportunities to buy an environmentally friendly home that is also newly built and of the highest quality. Therefore, they have developed a sustainable and cost-effective solution that is changing the market. Their vision is to provide an easy and effective way to offer increased quality of life through a living experience with a positive climate impact that generates income and makes more time available. In our first interview with the customer, we discovered that the customer had many wishes and desire to optimize their processes but had a difficulty knowing how and where to start.

Project goals

After conducting the discovery workshop, we were able to help the customer prioritize which areas needed to be improved first. The first part was communication between the different parts for each project. A lot of focus also ended up on how we can use the digital tools to reduce the environmental impact.

Solution

As a first step, we implemented self-control and collision control as well as communication. These steps were implemented through training and support for everyone in the project. We used Autodesk Revit to have the project projected in Autodesk 3D and Autodesk BIM Collaborate Pro to be able to collect data and communication gathered in one place. In this way we were able to gain structure within the project.

Business outcome

By using the Autodesk Architecture, Engineering & Construction Collection and Autodesk BIM Collaborate Pro, we achieved a smarter communication path and eliminated communication errors. A single source of truth in the project and the customer could quantity in a more accurate way

Conclusion

We noticed quite early that the customer had the will and was aware that they needed to do something to optimize their business. The customer's challenge was that project members were distributed in several countries with different digital maturity. After conducting the digital discovery workshop with the customer, we mapped and helped the customer to choose the path in a way that suited their needs. Therefore, we were able to quickly create a strong bond between us with the will to develop.
