Connected Quality Processes with Fusion 360 Manage

Connected Quality Processes with Fusion 360 Manage

Customer challenge

Lindab suffered from old disconnected IT systems within Quailty. This led to difficulties regarding tracking and responding to claims. To have a broken digital chain of information gave a lot of waste, both time-wise & money-wise. Having the right visual KPIs was a challenge for Lindab. Not being able to track and understand the root cause was also a problem. The situation of not having the right data at the hand can lead to wrong decisions.

Project goals

Lindab was looking for a system that could connect and manage processes and data. The system should help users to keep track of their activities in the workflows. This would give Lindab much better control over claims and the root causes. Having the right data at hand is necessary to be able to make the right decisions.

Solution

The solution is based on Autodesk Fusion 360 Manage and Cadcraft iConnect. Cadcraft has provided services to set up and configure Fusion 360 Manage, which have been done step by step in an agile way together with Lindab. iConnect is used to connect Fusion 360 Manage with the ERP system to streamline the data flow. Cadcraft has trained users and administrators to be able to maintain and enhance the solution.

Business outcome

With the implementation of Fusion 360 Manage, Lindab has been able to manage the claim handling process much better and have a better control over the CAPA process within the different sales and production units. Lindab can move away from the old stand-a-lone system into an integrated solution connected to the ERP system and other key systems within the organization. The outcome from this is a single source of truth and streamlined processes for Claim and CAPA management.

Conclusion

In a joint project, Cadcraft has helped Lindab to implement a more modern way of handling claims and CAPA processes with the PLM platform Autodesk Fusion 360 Manage. The step-wise implementation that a SaaS platform enables has been a huge benefit. Different types of processes can be implemented step by step in a Proof of Concept way, letting the super users evaluate the solution before they go live. The flexibility of Fusion 360 Manage gives Lindab a lot of possibilities to expand the usage within the organization which adds other key processes into the system.

System Integration: Vault with Monitor ERP

Cflow is expanding and they faced a couple of different challenges preventing them to grow in a good way. With huge lack of Item and BOM control and no connection between PDM (Vault) and ERP systems, the time waste was high. A lot of manual actions were required and the need to create the same information many times often occurred. Low reuse of parts led to an "everything is custom" mentality which is very inefficient for the company.
