Design Using the Information Model of Autodesk AEC collection

Design Using the Information Model of Autodesk AEC collection

Customer challenge

Since its concept and inception, the international team of ISKER Consortium has endeavored to ensure that its projects and services are deliver to the highest level and superior to those offered on the market by others. As the leading corporate group in Kazakhstan providing an existing and continually expanding diverse range of business solutions including those listed below ISKER Consortium are now moving into the international arena with plans over the next ten years to become the first choice provider within our business sectors.

The ISKER Consortium needed to design a structure for a later handover to construction, in accordance with the latest requirements of the state program for digitalization of Kazakhstan 4.0.

Project goals

The main goal of the project was to provide the end customer with a three-dimensional model of the building with all the necessary information. The complexity of this project was that Isker's business design process planned transformation for the implementation of BIM technology. They have planned to create a separate group of specialists who would be trained and would create an information model.

Solution

ISKER organized a separate group of specialists to undergo training in BIM technology. For this group, trial licenses were used and later licenses were acquired from Autodesk Architecture, Engineering & Construction collection. To work with the information model, libraries were written and the position of the business process within the company was developed. Scheduling the training was complicated due to the fact that the work was a shift method, but the use of online platforms solved this problem.

Business outcome

Isker in the process of training and design realized the advantages of this technology, because all collisions were identified and corrected at this stage. The Autodesk Architecture, Engineering & Construction collection, using the information model, has increased the speed and quality of design. The information entered into the object allows you to get all the necessary information, including estimate calculations. The data obtained made it possible to create a financial model and conduct important analytics at the stage of construction.

Conclusion

With the help of Autodesk Architecture, Engineering & Construction collection, the efforts invested in training employees, purchasing a license and improving qualifications have improved the quality of design by eliminating collisions at that level, and also significantly increased the speed of design. BIM manager and BIM coordinators were appointed and invited. Today ISKER meets all modern requirements of the state program of Digitalization of Kazakhstan and is one of the leading companies in the market.
