Altren projekt customer Tallinna Vesi AS wanted to receive detailed 3D models of the large chambers/water pipeline junctions during the redesigning of the existing pipelines of the Tartu mnt light traffic tunnel. It turned out to be difficult to create the required model with the conventional tools.
Altren project aimed to respond to the client's request and find a way to create a sufficiently detailed 3D model of the pipeline junctions so that it could be used in the next stages of the construction project and also provide the customer a better overview.
Altren project created a detailed 3D model of the large chamber/water pipeline junctions with Autodesk Inventor. Inventor is a powerful 3D modeling software primarily designed for the design and analysis of manufactured products, while also being compatible with BIM software.
The detailed 3D model was then used in the next stages of the project and allowed the customer to get a better overview and more accurate drawings - cross sections. The customer was satisfied with the model.
