Customer challenge

Since its foundation in 2010, PT. Triakarya is a company specializing in busbar products for panel builders, retrofit and refurbish panels for electric power distribution, and a jobs shop for high-precision manufacturing of industrial equipment components - Design, Development & Manufacture of Special Purpose Machine (SPM) & Automation. To complement their Autodesk FeatureCAM solution for precision parts machining, Triakarya needed an integrated CAD solution in their engineering department for 3D mechanical design, validation, simulation, visualization, and documentation.

Project goals

The following priority customer requirements were identified for the new solution: 1) Capable to direct imports from AnyCAD (e.g., Pro/E , SiemensNX , Solidworks , CATIA, etc.) 2) Integrated with advanced simulation capabilities including thermal, nonlinear, transient, buckling, vibration, and other analyses. 3) Enable a powerful solution to work with parametric design, direct, freeform, and rules-based design and documentation capabilities, and have standard and customizable content libraries including beams, bolted connections, gears, cams, belts, springs, and more. 4) Extensive APIs for enabling customization and automation with a global third-party developer ecosystem and integrated with Autodesk FeatureCAM as their existing CAM solution. 5) Deliver training and implementation services to help enable success with their real projects.

Solution

Autodesk Solution Provider Hankook Delcam Indonesia was engaged to introduce and fulfill the Autodesk Product Design & Manufacturing Collection (PDMC) and Inventor solutions with continuous technical support, consulting, training, and implementation services to complement their real projects, so that the software solutions can help solve their real problems and make them more efficient and productive.

Business outcome

With the PDMC and Inventor solutions implemented, the team can now utilise their existing 2D data, build 3D virtual prototypes, visualise products in 3D and take advantage of advanced and precise simulation capabilities including linear and non-linear static, dynamic and heat transfer analyses before their products go to CAM programming and machining for their CNC machines. The company can now ship complete products with reduced costs, shortened delivery times, and improved product quality.
