Torrenza Mould Craft Achieving Their Goals with Autodesk Solutions

Torrenza Mould Craft Achieving Their Goals with Autodesk Solutions

Customer challenge

TORRENZA MOULD CRAFT was established in 2006 and is a leading manufacturer, supplier, importer and exporter of Plastic Molded Components. The main challenge they were facing at the production level was not being able to finish the project on time due to some technical issues. In order to solve the problem, they decided to invest more into buying new machinery and hiring more manpower to complete projects on time. Their main concern was how they can utilize their manpower to maximize the productivity without spending more money. They do manufacturing and repairing work of moulds so they have small deadlines but were not able to finish a job in the given time, so to finish jobs on time and without investing more money was the main challenge.

Project goals

After discussing with TORRENZA MOULD CRAFT and after knowing the problems they are facing, we set our goals which were as follows: 1. To utilize 100% of manpower of the company 2. To see how the company can minimize their expenses by using our software 3. To make their different operation of manufacturing easy and accurate 4. To train them to use our software at its maximum capacity 5. To complete projects before deadline 6. To finish jobs on time

Solution

When we discussed the problem Torrenza Mould was facing, we offered them an Autodesk CAD/CAM solution including PowerMill and for designing we provided Autodesk PowerShape and Autodesk Fusion 360 with Manufacturing Extension. We gave them Autodesk PowerShape for designing the moulds because we know PowerShape is a software which combines strength of surface, mesh and solids into an expert toolkit for the manufacturer so it makes designing moulds easy. In Autodesk PowerMill, they were making programs which help them manufacture their product faster and easier. They use PowerMilll strategy such as stock model and rest roughing because they also do repairing works. When they have to do repairing in some parts of moulds they will select that particular part with help of PowerMill strategies and will create a program only for that particular part, so the toolpath gets smaller, their work gets complete within given time, their productivity increased and were able to save time and money.

Business outcome

After giving them the Autodesk CAD/CAM solution, Torrenza Mould started doing designing and programming in Autodesk software and were now able to achieve their goal. They were able to complete all projects before time because Autodesk solutions decreased their cycle time in comparison with other solutions. They also don't need to spend money to buy new machines because they were able to achieve the deadline on the same number of machines, and were making products on time without delay. They started doing stock modeling so they don't need to create programs for the whole part when not needed. Machining the part which was left over before can now be done and they can complete jobs before the deadline.

Conclusion

After using Autodesk solutions (Autodesk PowerMill, PowerShape and Fusion360), Torrenza Mould were happy because in some of their products they have a deep cavity and the software had created programs in which a special strategy was used to do machining in that area. The solution made their work easier and faster, so they are happy to use Autodesk solutions with services from MECHMAN SOLUTION.

Designing Easier and Smart Representation

Extrusion plant manufacturing is JSK Engineering's line of business throughout India. They create large machines with thousands of parts, which are essentially large assemblies made up of numerous parts. Because it is physically impossible to communicate or quantify the cost of the entire project, they were having difficulty dealing with clients when they had to explain the entire plant to them. Because the entire assembly consists of thousands of small and large parts, they were also having difficulty designing each individual component of the assembly. They also had trouble explaining or presenting the entire project model to the client.
