The time had come for a new website system that could make the choice of springs even easier for new and existing customers; a system, that could could configure and receive unique CAD models on the desired springs. In addition, it was also part of a larger project where the company continuously focuses on raising the company's service level.

Jørgen Sodemann had high expectations for this project and some clear specific requirements for the new solution. One of the requirements was, among other things, that the new solution should be an in-house solution based on technology where programming- and CAD-data belongs to Sodemann. In this way, Jørgen and his team are always close to the operation and the brains behind their unique solution.

Solution

Behind this solution is a unique Autodesk Vault solution that generates files with just one click. A solution where new and existing customers, via Sodemann's website, can configure the desired spring type with the spring's Mastermodel, configure it and send it to the customer's e-mail within a few seconds. The CAD model can be delivered in several different file formats and sent together with a datasheet which describes the spring configuration. It is also quick to access a correct CAD model and work with the spring specifications in one’s own projects. This gives Sodemann an economical and competitive advantage in a solution that is up to date - but also scalable later.
