Success Story

Rendering and Designing Made Easy with the AEC Collection

Rendering and Designing Made Easy with the AEC Collection

Customer challenge

SFO started as a trading company dealing with Office Furniture & Flooring, Commercial Kitchen & Laundry Equipment, Water Treatment Chemicals & Equipment, Technical Products & Spares. They later have diversified into manufacturing areas creating a niche for themselves in switch gear panel building and a Carpentry Workshop.  Their projects are predominantly based on designing of offices and workspace, designing complex workspace layout and simulating them in 3D.

Project goals

SFO caters to a very niche market here in Oman, and are very keen and specific about communicating their designs and goals of the project to the client efficiently. In order to achieve this, for the nature of their projects, it was imperative that they chose a solution that will ease their process of rendering and designing.

Solution

Consequently, SFO began using tools in the Autodesk Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC) Collection like 3ds Max, AutoCAD and Revit. Through these solutions, they were able to produce models effortlessly that looked realistic enough for the clients to be satisfied. This also helped them speed up their approval process as the models were easier to comprehend and analyze, which eventually led to a better understanding and approval of the projects.

Business outcome

Furthermore, they have been able to bag multiple projects based on the outcomes and are even interested to go into BIM. With 3ds Max and AutoCAD being their hero products, they are looking into expanding their market footprint by venturing into other commercial projects as well.

Conclusion

SFO and their team are extremely satisfied and have suggested the solution even to their fellow contractors:

"Ever since we adopted the AEC Collection, our engineers do not face issues with rendering anymore and are more confident to do complex projects."

-  Mr. Shahbaz Hassan
