For the products that customer needs to quickly produce, there is currently no commercially available machine tool that can produce directly and quickly. They must develop their own special machine tool and CAM programming system.
One of the goals Fuji Seiko Intelligent Technology Development has is to design and develop the structure of the machine tool to ensure that quickly clamping and high-speed machining can be realized. Next, the used CAM system cannot generate the required toolpaths easily. They need to find the right CAM system that can provide customization platform for fulfilling their specific requirements. In addition to that, the toolpath programming work should be simple enough so that even an ordinary CNC operator can complete the CAM programming and machining within a short period.
DelcamHK is working together with customer to analyze product characteristics, study the structure of machine tools, and then use Autodesk PowerShape and Autodesk PowerMill to prepare and simulate the outcome of proposed fixturing and machining system. Based on the digital experimental platform being realized by Autodesk PowerShape and Autodesk PowerMill, re-iteration of testing the feasibility of the proposed system can be done effectively and quickly. The simulation results allow customer to quickly determine the structure and fixture design of the machining system.
Customer can quickly design and made the machining system. DelcamHK has been able to propose and develop the customized CAM programming Apps. After testing and fine-tuning, customer also quickly decide the mass production plan. Customers then immediately invested in Autodesk advanced manufacturing software Autodesk PowerMill and Autodesk PowerShape. With DelcamHK customized Autodesk PowerMILL-based Apps, customer's CNC operators can complete the toolpath programming in just ten minutes.
