Customer challenge

Getafixx was facing a specific challenge in this project. Apart from the graphic design of the product, there was information about the characters to be made for the film and no creative agency was involved for this. The customer also had additional requirements: to shoot the cereal bowl with real milk at high speed using a phantom camera and interacting computer-generated imagery (CGI) characters with the bowl.

Project goals

The objectives of this project were multiple: 1. The appearance and texture of the product. 2. The challenge of creating the characters using a simple image of the pack as a reference point. 3. Conducting the creative show with confidence with clients who, in this case, did not have an advertising agency on board. 4. It had to be cost effective, as it was intended for an underdeveloped country, and the deadline was one month.

Solution

The entire project was done using Autodesk 3DS Max right from creating of the 3D models, texturing, materials, lighting, rigging, animation and rendering. Compositing was completed in other software.

Business outcome

The clients were very satisfied with the overall experience and immediately ordered another project from us. The overall workflow in the Autodesk software, which is the backbone of the studio, enabled this project to be completed with customer satisfaction and on-time delivery, without any compromise on quality.

Conclusion

Thanks to the creative input and achievement of this particular project, Getafixx has gained more commercial exposure both locally and internationally.

CGI for Automotive Marketing

Artificial Reality is one of India's leading CGI, mixed, virtual and augmented reality companies. Prior to using new software solutions, Artificial Reality had to physically do a photoshoot of the featured car for any project and in case of any minor/major changes, the company had to reshoot the car which would involve significant cost and time. The challenge was to improve the cost effectiveness and timely delivery of their projects. The photoshoots had limitations of time and availability.
