Customer challenge

The Department of Physical Planning within the Government of St. Lucia identified the following challenges with their current workflows: 1) The existing infrastructure was not operating at a compliant level, hindering productivity and accuracy of projects. 2) Existing personnel were not properly equipped with software to meet their daily demands. 3) Some personnel were not up to the level of required process workflows for optimised software utilisation.

Project goals

The following Project Goals were identified in partnership with Autodesk Solution Provider GISCAD Limited: 1) Maximise software potential with the current users' needs and requirements. 2) Enable software access to all potential users. 3) Introduce cloud storage solutions to create a streamlined production environment through which users can freely collaborate to bring visuals from conception to production. 4) Identify areas within the current production management workflow where cost-saving practices could be implemented without loss of operational efficiency.

Solution

The following services were delivered to complement the Autodesk Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC) Collection deployment: 1) Needs Analysis to help identify software requirements and workflow integrations. 2) Identification of optimised workflows for existing projects and daily operations. 3) Streamlined and Personalised Product Training for the identified skill levels of the users. 4) Post Training Survey completed to identify remaining gaps for further enhancement.

Business outcome

With the support of GISCAD Limited, the Government of St. Lucia was able to successfully implement the AEC Infrastructure which has allowed them to add far more depth and detail into their workflows.

Conclusion

GISCAD Limited continues to work with the Government of St. Lucia with their Customer Success and Onboarding, as well as providing solutions to enhance the optimisation and usage of the Autodesk AEC Collection. We are currently working with the Government of St. Lucia to improve their cloud adoption for a more collaborative workflow. The current success of this implementation has allowed GISCAD Limited to further drive a total adoption of AEC Collection within all divisions of the Government.
