Customer challenge

Field installation and access to relevant material are extremely important in the timely installation of unique water parks for Rain Drop. To say the least, Aaron Jackson has a demanding travel schedule. Live access to CAD files and other documents for the onsite work is critical and not just for a quality installation. “Grand Opening” dates cannot be rescheduled, and an on-time completion of the facility is a requirement.

Rain Drop required an innovative solution with access by all stakeholders to relevant and up-to-date documents in the field.

Solution

Aaron Jackson reached out to Autodesk Solution Provider Tata Technologies for a solution. Tata Technologies' technical staff suggested he implement Vault Professional, an upgrade from their use of Vault Basic. A plan was developed to upgrade to the latest release of the Autodesk Product Design & Manufacturing Collection along with implementing Vault Professional and migrating current data from the basic Vault, ensuring all data was accessible in the field and in a timely fashion.

Business outcome

Establishing the ability to access relevant data while in the field allows installation crews to better complete their work with minimal downtime. Greatly reduced errors and rework resulted in better quality builds and on time completions.

Conclusion

Getting all contractors access to material from the road and while out of office is a critical business requirement. Most planning is done in the field now or onsite.
