Learning the pipeline on this project is very challenging as TeamApp needed to work on many assets at a very fast turnaround time while the need to seamlessly collaborate remotely.

Project goals

Since the pandemic happened,  a lot of retail companies were forced to make a digital transformation overnight to continue their business. Retail companies worked fast on putting up their B2C e-commerce venture . TeamApp's client is no exception.

TeamApp's goal is to produce a seamless and reliable pipeline for a project like this. Working on this time-bound project at a very fast pace will help cement TeamApp's capability to get more e-commerce projects in the future.

Solution

During the last two years, seamless collaboration is hard as every body is working from home. With the help of Challenge Systems Inc, TeamApp started using Autodesk ShotGrid last year. They were very happy with how it holds the production management flow and how assets are being stored and shared seamlessly among their artists from different locations. With the use of Autodesk ShotGrid, they are able to store assets, keep track of deliveries, and make production flow run smoothly. Challenge Systems provided the team the training they need to be able to immediately adopt and integrate Autodesk ShotGrid in their workflow.

TeamApp has been using Autodesk Maya for many years now and it has always been their 3d software preference. For this e-commerce project, Autodesk Maya produced the quality of output they want to achieve because of its intuitive modeling tools that adds fine details to the furniture and products and its built-in render engine that delivers stunning visuals. It also accelerates workflow which helps them iterate faster. The wide pool of talented Maya users in the community helps in the ease of use of the software.
