AML4 is the first public project ever in Greece to use BIM technology and Alstom is driving this forward.AutoCAD was the main design software of the company in Greece. However, the radical development of projects with BIM procedures and the obligation to use BIM procedures, deemed essential the upgrade of the knowledge of the company's working groups and the adaptation of their working methods to the new challenging conditions. Shifting the tool from 2D drawings, to 3D models, which enable remote collaboration and model sharing, was identified as the key capabilities needed for such a project. As a result, Autodesk Revit was chosen as the most appropriate solution for the transition to the new working methods and the fulfillment of immediate and future demands of the company.
