Zanad is a creative hot shop and a full-service high-end animation studio that develops ideas from a sketch to a finished piece. A group of dedicated and experienced animators, illustrators and art directors who specialize in Graphics, 2D/3D animation, brand creation/development and everything in between from conceptualizing to character design. Zanad supports advertising agencies and brands through creative design and works with anything that moves; character-broadcast commercials, indents, credits, online case studies and anything related to corporate branding. Zanad had one of the most skilled team members in the media and production field but they were facing the slow rate of the rendering power even when they were using Autodesk Products but they saw the need to integrate the rendering farm solution in their business.

Project goals

Our goal was to decrease their render time and use the whole capacity of their office machines to help Autodesk Products to result a faster output.

Solution

They did have a lot of machines that were not in use for rendering purposes and that for us was an unused and lost power we saw as opportunity to demonstrate the power of Autodesk Backburner which was using core power for all the office machines that where at idle state across their network and split their render tasks on them to be processed in background.

Business outcome

As we have set Autodesk backburner as their render farm engine across their entire network using the unused machines dividing the render tasks across those machines render time was decreased by half and while rendering took place on those machines in background, they were used also for a different office tasks.

Conclusion

The customer was satisfied by the output that Autodesk did offer to them as it allowed Zanad team to use their skills on faster pace and faster deliveries.
