Comerio Ercole’s activity started in 1885 on artisanal basis and then developed mainly in the manufacturing of machines and plants for of rubber and plastic processing, machines and plants for the nonwoven industry and special application.
The Tech Dept. grew up and now is about 50 people working on.
Comerio Ercole wanted to act in two different but nonetheless contiguous directions, that are Tech Department and Production Department.
TECH DEPT.
The company needed to optimizing Tech Dept. workflow through Data management software/PDM solution, also because due to pandemic, employees started to work at home. They wanted to secure engineering data (they already use Autodesk Inventor for their engineering projects) and gain accessibility from remote working places.
PRODUCTION DEPT.
Comerio Ercole had an old version CAM software in Production Dept. running on old systems machine that needed to be updated. Costs needed for this update from the old CAM System were very high. Moreover, there wasn't a complete control over the project changes, and all the modifications made in Production Dept. were not reported to Tech. Dept. according to old software workflow.
Main goals of the project:
As for every Data Management Project Implementation, we started with an analysis of existing workflows and processes in Tech Dept, highlighting pro and con, some points that need to be enhanced and good ones. Systema proposed Autodesk Vault Professional as data management software and some Systema Vault APP Plug-in to amplify Autodesk Vault functionalities and features. Systema defined all the implementation steps and started with the delivery phase accordingly to customer timing and needs, paying attention to all historical data porting and management.
For CAM solutions, Systema suggested Autodesk Fusion 360 Machining Extension, after a trial period and verifying that post-processor was good for customer machine.
Comerio Ercole is very satisfied about the solutions in terms of security of data, cost & time reduction and enhancement of efficiency. Thanks to the project data workflow, it has been possible to improve sharing information with customers and other stakeholders in total security and in real time, and also with all the employees. Comerio is also very satisfied about Autodesk CAM solution, as for lower costs, as for interoperability with Autodesk Inventor through Autodesk Fusion 360, using cloud to upload changed projects and sharing them with Tech. Department.
