Trivision specializes in Yacht Design and creating 3D visuals and animations of yachts (exterior and interior). Building a yacht takes around three years. Trivision expects realistic impressions of their yachts. For Trivision, it is an objective to create ultra realistic renders and animations to distinguish themselves in the market.
Trivision was looking for a solution to streamline their existing workflow. They were already familiar with 3ds Max. With the support of MacroCad, they decided to use it as a central software package in their workflow.
The aim of this project is to create and present beautiful and ultra realistic visuals. Besides that, Trivision also wants to help their customers to make the right decisions. In the maritime industry realism is very important. To give a complete presentation, Trivision adds water, foam and waves to a visual.
Macrocad helped to streamline the workflow with tools that were already in-house. MacroCad provided support, training and helped with the implementation within a short time frame.
Trivision uses Autodesk 3ds Max now to set the environment of a 3D model including materials, lighting and animation. They work with other tools for rendering and fluid simulations and consider it as a great advantage that 3ds Max is compatible. “We really need 3ds Max to work with other tools”.
In the nineties, Trivision started to work with 3D Studio 4 (an earlier version). It was Trivision's first 3D tool to create architectural visuals and later yacht visuals.
