Manage Licenses and Production Needs of the Third Floor More Efficiently

Manage Licenses and Production Needs of the Third Floor More Efficiently

Customer challenge

The Third Floor is the world’s leading visualization studio. They use the virtual world to imagine, plan and problem solve for stories in film, television, games, VR and themed attractions. Starting in 2004 with a handful of dedicated artists, The Third Floor is now a global company, collaborating with our clients in South Africa, Ireland, Australia, England and Canada. The company required a more efficient way of managing licenses and production needs throughout the world.

Project goals

The Third Floor primary goals identified were: 1. Ease of Managing Software 2. Provide easy access to users

Solution

To support The Third Floor’s needs, RFX identified the following solutions in order to more efficiently manage software subscriptions and the collaboration of all the users: 1. Autodesk Media & Entertainment (M&E) Industry Collection 2. Autodesk Maya 3. Autodesk Shotgun 4. Premium Subscriptions

Business outcome

The Third Floor was able to migrate to the new Autodesk Premium Subscription, working with the RFX Support and Technical Team. The initial phase was completed in about 30 days, and as enhancements are made to Premium Subscription more efficiencies will be achieved.

Conclusion

Premium Subscription enabled The Third Floor to manage Autodesk licenses, worldwide, from their corporate headquarters, with relative ease. Along with Shotgun, M&E Collection, and Maya, and other Autodesk cloud-based solutions, the Third Floor is able to address production needs more efficiently.
