Srikrishna Industrial Works India Pvt. Ltd. is the home for manufacturing of various OEMs for Aerospace, Medical, Oil & Gas, Automobiles and General Engineering. They were exploring a cost-effective solution for machining a specific critical component on their turn mill machine (Mazak Integrex J200), but it was very difficult to do it on their existing Autodesk PowerMill Standard so that they were looking for PowerMill Ultimate or other software with cost effective pricing on an urgent basis.

Once the CAD/CAM Department Head approached the Acuity team with their concerns, the Acuity team visited the Srikrisna Industrial Works premises, discussed the situation, understood their requirements, and suggested Autodesk Fusion 360 with the Machining Extension because the customer already owned the base Fusion 360 solution.
Autodesk Solution Provider Acuity Engineering showcased a demo on the “Autodesk Fusion 360 with Machining Extension” with the Autodesk technical team's help. The Acuity team received the customer’s desired component 3D model and imported to the Fusion 360 solution. Acuity also explained that any 3D Model made from any 3D Software imported to Autodesk Fusion 360 easily and can generate the NC Code within the same with the implementation done.
After this work, the Acuity team visited the very next day with the Autodesk Technical Team Lead with the prepared toolpaths to make their critical part on the Mazak Integrex J200 turn mill machine. The team started a trial of a toolpath for a dry run, but some post-issues occurred. Those issues were immediately cleared with the help of the Autodesk and Acuity post-teams' help. The dry run was completed and the same toolpath was then carried out on actual raw material. The component was then finished in only two setups.
With the implementation of the Autodesk Fusion 360 with Machining Extension solution, Srikrishna Industrial Works India Pvt. Ltd. is now able to achieve better engineering and manufacturing productivity within a targeted lead time, and FAI parts of which they were worried to machine in-house were approved by their customer. They have also received the same part order for a long time period in the future which is a more profitable order to Srikrishna Industrial Works.
After only two (2) days of training and a testing phase, Autodesk Fusion 360 with the Machining Extension was the clear favorite solution to the user. After the implementation of Autodesk Fusion 360 with the Machining Extension, their Design Team is also easily able to design the few components in-house which reduced the need for outsourcing the 3D models with customer drawings.
The team at Acuity Engineering is filled with experts who are always ready to understand customer issues faced and they are always ready to provide the best solution for problems faced during the manufacturing process. Team Srikrishna Industrial Works India Pvt. Ltd. is now able to design 3D Models and import the 3D Models from other Native Software Solutions without data loss using Autodesk Fusion 360 with the Machining Extension.
