BIM Consulting & Autodesk Construction Cloud Implementation

BIM Consulting & Autodesk Construction Cloud Implementation

Customer challenge

A well known MEP Contractor needed to work with an Autodesk Partner to develop a digital strategy, enabling them to meet their BIM objectives (improved design efficiency and cost savings) and desire to support the ISO19650 international standards.

Project goals

The main goal for this client was to gain BIM Level 2 knowledge and upskill to ISO 19650 standards. This needed to involve an extensive training and consulting program to get all their engineers working to their maximum ability.

Solution

Man and Machine developed a program for the client which included providing the following services:

1) BIM-Ready Training

2) E-Learning Content

3) BIM Consulting

4) Software Support & Administration

5) Software Audit Support

6) Software Product Training

Business outcome

As part of this program, the client has now migrated their collaboration solution from the BIM 360 platform to the Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and are now one of the UK’s largest ACC clients. During this process, Man and Machine also developed significant e-learning content and videos that can be used for existing engineers to recap or to train new employees.

Conclusion

This program has allowed the client to carry out their work to meet the government standards and guidelines, and by using this integrated platform they are now able to recognize and eliminate any issues or clashes earlier in the process.

Manufacturer of Safety Equipment

An experienced manufacturer of commercial safety equipment recognised that in order to increase profits there were two key factors. First, increase product quality leading to increased order size, and second be able to efficiently manage and optimise internal service staff resources. Autodesk Solution Provider Man and Machine were able to understand these key business drivers and offer a tailored solution based on the Autodesk PLM solution that could solve both.

How M&M Construction business has benefitted from Autodesk Construction Cloud

A large UK-based M&M Construction Contractor's understanding of scanning equipment and the use of it has proven to cause some major issues internally and at later stages of their projects. With information missing and the models in turn taking longer to generate, delays have been noticeable and more frequent especially with specific projects the business takes on.

Large UK Architectural Practice

A large UK-based Architectural Practice, M&M Architects, was looking to make the transition from Microstation to Autodesk Revit. During this process, they also recognized they were wasting a lot of time on tasks that could be automated with the use of Autodesk Dynamo and Autodesk Revit. They partnered with Man and Machine as they needed to get all users trained and supported in Revit which was completely new software to them.
