JAKON Jacek Grzelak Design Studio specialises in the design of building structures in all design phases and provides services, which are related to on-site author's supervision and construction expertise. JAKON Jacek Grzelak Design Studio is an ambitious team of 25 highly qualified construction engineers and designers. They design residential buildings, offices, public buildings and engineering structures. After getting a deeper knowledge of Autodesk Revit and creating many 3D models within using it, JAKON Jacek Grzelak Design Studio has decided to automate engineers work even more and to implement Autodesk Dynamo.

Project goals

The project engagement with Autodesk Solution Provider AEC Design was aimed at finding solutions which would enable development of design work automation at JAKON Jacek Grzelak Design Studio.

Solution

As a result of the collaboration, AEC Design has provided licenses of the Autodesk Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC) Collection, has carried an implementation of them through Autodesk software trainings, and delivered the creation of Dynamo scripts. The implementation process made it possible to solve many more problems. Daily work according to the BIM methodology has organised the whole process, forcing proper planning from it's very beginning. Newly created three-dimensional models (especially in geometry aspect) are now well-developed, which means that JAKON Jacek Grzelak Design Studio experiences much less changes in the subsequent design phases.

With a single, shared data environment, every designer from each branch creates their own 3D models, which are then combined into a single, multi-discipline model. Such a mode not only streamlines work, but also enables quick detection of all collisions.
