ASM Ventilatii Incalzire is a young Romanian company based on a team of professionals with more than 20 years of practice which provides services and turn-key solutions for the food manufacturing, microelectronics, healthcare and pharmaceutical industry. Due to the high requirements and technical specifications for the biotechnology field, which has to avoid the slightest contamination from any unwanted source, ASM Ventilatii Incalzire had to create an environment where specific high-demand and precise operations can be carried out.
The company initiated a new project, aiming to provide complete design, build and certification solutions for industry-specific Cleanrooms.
Due to a long standing collaboration with Autodesk Solution Provider CADexpert NET, a mixed team was created bringing together Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC) professionals from both companies to implement a new software solution for the Cleanrooms project.
After the initial review of the project and existing design practices in the company, the Autodesk AEC Collection was identified as the best software solution that could provide achievement of project goals. Autodesk Revit together with Fabrication CAD MEP tools was implemented in the company, starting from scratch with basic training for the Architectural and MEP engineering teams.
For the development of part libraries and content creation, Revit advanced training was pursued in order to achieve good practices and expertise with the Revit family editor. For clash detections and coordination between specific teams, Navisworks Manage was identified as the best software solution. Architects and Engineers were trained to integrate projects, make clash detection tests, tag elements and make comments. Building teams and project managers were trained to use Navisworks Manage for visualization and walk through the whole project, use the TimeLiner module to make construction simulations and the Animator module for site logistics.
The new created BIM workflow was complete after implementing Autodesk Cloud usage for document management, issues management, document approval circuits and transmittals.
ASM Ventilatii Incalzire developed a complete new workflow for design and configuration of industrial Cleanrooms. Using Revit and Fabrication CADMEP, now they can make 3D BIM models, explore different design options and optimize layouts, generate schedules and part lists for MEP installations, calculate material quantities needed for projects and manage costs.
By implementing Autodesk Cloud usage, all stakeholders have proper access to information and work as a team.
Construction works have better management, coordination and resource level optimization.
Overall, the industrial Cleanrooms projects can respect time and budget constraints more easily by using cloud services and BIM technology provided by the Autodesk AEC Collection.
