SHAFIE-SHERIF BUREAU Architects is one of the few who is focusing on healthcare projects which is defined as one of the most critical detailed projects. The project that the customer is working on is characterized by its large area of 110,000 m2 for phase 1 and an initial cost of EGP1,980,000 with a tiny schedule for delivery of less than 2 years. The Partner Manager of the project required very high standards according to Egyptians healthcare services requirements and was under supervision of the Ministry of Health.
Phase I:
1. 350-bed general hospital (110,000 m2)
2. 120-bed rehabilitation and wellness center (73,000 m2)
3. Clinics plaza, training and education center (33,000 m2)
4. Shopping Mall (60,000 m2)
5. Central Administration Building (10,000 m2)
6. Underground Parking (100,000 m2)
Primary Project goals were identified as follows:
Information Technology of Egypt Corporation worked with our customer on enlarging the awareness of the Autodesk Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC) and Media & Entertainment (M&E) Collections to gain the maximum benefit of the products included. We classified the products as follows:
- Project Visualization
- Project Design
- Project Construction Services
- Project Delivery & Operations
We then started to provide any help with the customer team who are working with Autodesk projects including licensing and installation issues and technical challenges to demonstrate the maximum benefit they can gain for each solution.
Achieving the above goals was not so easy to achieve but the Autodesk products delivered assisted us and the customer to meet those challenges using the Autodesk AEC Collection products which provide all information and data management solutions required for all project management phases from concept design until the final operation applying Building Information Modeling and with the highest standards required by the client. We are succeeding by being on the planned schedule with the best quality that these types of projects demand.
