Case study using Autodesk Revit software to establish a multidisciplinary coordinating model using Infrastructure Design Suite software, and the successful workflow of how to best interact between the different software systems. The project is for the delivery of a six-platform, Stadium Train Station, for specific for the Perth New Stadium. BIM was the key elements in ensuring a high level of co-ordination and constructability with the existing condition and staging for rail shut downs. The presentation will focus on using Revit modelling techniques with the aid of Dynamo for downstream construction management for construction documentation, formwork area, and setting out, scheduling, pour sequencing, procurement integrating multiple OpenBIM formats. Dale Harrison has been in the civil and structural engineering field for more than 13 years. His career commenced with AECOM, which has seen him progress from entry-level roles to Building Information Modeling (BIM) manager for Western Australia. There, he has ongoing development of BIM standards focused on reusable lifecycle data planning for project planning and execution, coordination and 4D planning, onsite technologies, and facilities management deliverables using BIM project data sets. His broad project portfolio has seen him face and overcome numerous challenges along his path to success. In his role as BIM manager, Harrison has faced the challenges of BIM early adoption and staff engagement, managing internally. He has spoken at numerous events across Australia, including RTC Australia and BIM Day Out.
