Accessorize Your Design—Dynamo for Civil 3D

Have you heard of Dynamo, or do you think it’s a program only for Revit users? If you’re not a programmer and wouldn’t know where to start, we welcome you to Dynamo for Civil 3D software! Dynamo is already popular with architects and engineers using Revit software to design buildings, but if you’re an engineer who primarily works in the horizontal infrastructure space, Dynamo may be very new to you. In this class, we’ll focus on the Dynamo add-in for Civil 3D 2020. We’ll explore the import of AutoCAD and Civil 3D objects, the types of geometry you can create, and the functions you can apply. Discover the meaning and application behind the terms “nodes,” “connectors,” “code blocks,” and “lists.” Learn how to easily create a visual script to automate a repetitive task in your daily workflow, and how to apply that script to your design.
