Thorsten (prior to his marriage named Thorsten Simon) received his architectural degree from the Munich University of Applied Science. He practiced as an Architect in several architectural firms in Germany and worked also for one of the largest Building Owners in Germany, Free State of Bavaria. More than nine years ago he joined the Central Europe Technical Specialists Team of Autodesk. Based in Munich, he is responsible for the building industry, focusing on Building Design Suite, Data Management in AEC and visualization for architects. He benefits from a huge network of Autodesk customers, resellers and freelancing experts. Thorsten also works as a consultant for government in terms of BIM mandates and is a member of the board of experts in the Austrian Standards Institute. In his spare time he enjoys mountain cycling, teleskiing and mountaineering in the Bavarian Alps as well as photography.
Michael Goehring works in Central Europe as a technical specialist for the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing industry. His experience in the plant industry, his studies in facility engineering, and his previous work for an Autodesk Reseller enable him to understand customers’ needs. Adoption of improvements and getting the most out of technology has always been the focus of Michael’s professional and personal life.
