Brent Mauti is currently the Global Director for Design Technology within IBI, after a decade of fulfilling a similar roles for CH2M.He is also on the Canada BIM Council's Board of Directors.Brent is responsible to improve delivery of design services and processes while supporting critical business strategies by managing the development, implementation and maintenance of all firm wide design technology solutions.He provides advanced project level BIM Consultation to identify appropriate BIM Uses, mold BIM Goals, generate a BIM Execution Plan, and ensure accountability for successful lifecycle delivery.Brent is a licensed architect who has focused on BIM throughout his career.He has been involved with major projects such as the London 2012 Olympics and the Panama Canal Widening.He has presented at numerous conferences hosted by CANBIM, IIDEX, OAA, AIA, and the RAIC to name a few.Brent's passion focuses on lifecycle BIM interoperability and cross-platform synergy.
I am one of the few full time support staff tasked with global CAD support. I have almost 22 Years of experience with AutoDesk product and consulting services. My background is Civil and I had a brief stint as a mechanical / manufacturing designer prior to joining IBI.<br/><br/>I was hired by Cumming Cockburn Limited in 2002 to help rebuild a local presents in Waterloo Ontario Canada and managed CAD and IT operations. In 2004 IBI acquired CCL and I began helping with integrations and support shortly after that. Being a CAD team lead on integrations offered lots of opportunities to see customization and work flow in a multitude of applications. Currently we support over 64 office and 1500 CAD users worldwide
Derek Gauer has more than 25 years of CAD management experience, and he has worked at IBI Group for the past 23 years. Gauer specializes in CAD management, road design (including horizontal and vertical alignment), quantity calculations, and contract document preparation. Gauer’s current position is the global manager for the hardware, software, and support in the Design Technology Group. His experience of CAD, Building Information Modeling (BIM), and IT has enabled him to integrate over 20 new firms into the IBI Group of companies. He supports over 1,500 users spread across 65 offices in 10 countries. His role includes investigating and implementing training methodologies, and researching new advancements in software. Gauer has extensive knowledge of AutoCAD software, AutoCAD Map software, AutoCAD Civil 3D software, Revit software, 3ds Max software, and InfraWorks 360 software. Gauer is a member Autodesk User Group International (AUGI), Groundbreakers AutoCAD Civil 3D User Group, and the Ontario Revit User Group.
