FusionNews highlights the key things that happened over the past week in the Fusion 360…

There is a new CNC mill on the scene: Othermill Pro. The new mill sports a higher spindle speed, faster rapids, and stiffer construction making it easy to precisely prototype the parts you design in Fusion 360. Unlike a typical CNC mill, the Othermill Pro is small enough to fit on your desktop, yet still powerful enough to mill aluminum, brass, Delrin, and other engineering materials at 0.001 inch precision. Other Machine Co. built their new machine primarily based on observations and feedback from the community, and we couldn’t be more proud to be partners with them.
Don’t take my word for it: check out Bryce from Autodesk and Ezra from OMC opening up a new Othermill Pro and taking it for a spin.
The Othermill Pro works great with toolpaths exported from Fusion 360’s CAM workspace, and we’ve worked with the folks at OMC to ensure a seamless experience. Best of all, every Othermill Pro includes a one-year commercial subscription to Fusion 360. The folks at OMC recently put together some great resources for Fusion users – check out their blog post here.

The built in handles at the top say it all. Gone will be the days when you have to haul you and your stuff out to some noisy dark machine shop in another building just to machine some small parts for your project. Just pull out your “right sized” CNC, plunk it on your desk and keep right on going.
Good work Guys!

it has a very high cost for what it is

I”m sorry but the price for this mill made out of plastic is way to high. I’m sure that the developers have invested thousands of hours in this machine and they need to make a profit. I just don’t see that happening with the price they are asking for there machines.
