We’ve been working with our friends at Instructables to create an area where over 180 great DIY projects created with Fusion 360 can be found. Below are just a few examples of the kinds of projects you’ll find in this new section on Instructables.
Fireplace Coffee Table – You can have an indoor fireplace safely in any home – no chimney necessary! Using an ethanol burner (carefully following the safety instructions), it’s perfectly safe to have an open flame without the need for a vent. With the right kind of fuel, there is no danger of harmful fumes tainting your indoor air quality.
3D Printed Robot Arm – This robot arm is made almost entirely of 3D printed parts that snap together. It has three servo-controlled joints, plus a rotating base and gripper. The arm is controlled by a series of buttons that connect to an Arduino Uno hidden in the base. A simple circuit makes connecting the servos and buttons to the Arduino easy, and makes set-up and assembly very quick.
Divisadero Chair – The Divisadero Chair is a piece exploring how 3D modeling software, 3D capturing, and 5-axis CNC milling can be combined to allow for a more sensitive use of materials. Traditional tools make squares and circles very well, and digital fabrication has made a huge mark in it’s ability to make more dynamic, organic, and complex shapes.
Mini filament spool and earring carousel stand – This 3D-printable design combines a decorative miniature 3D printer filament spool, and a turning carousel stand for hanging earrings.
This is just a small taste of what you will find on Instuctables. So take a look, go make something, and maybe even post your own DIY project for the community.
